According to the study, it's not a just a matter of minutes or hours which women spend preparing for a Saturday night outing - but days.
The incredible amount of fore-thought, deliberation and discussion women plough into which outfit, shoes and accessories to wear emerged in a study of 2,000 women - with the day that they start planning their weekend look being on Wednesdays.
Such precision and planning typically requires over ten text messages, three emails, five phone calls, eight posts on Facebook and three tweets, the 'Daily Mail' reported.
Nearly two hours is spent on-line researching outfits, venues and even the weather, the poll found.
Three quarters of females said they liaise with their friends prior to the night out to find out what they are planning to wear.
