A woman was today
strangulated by some unidentified persons, who barged into her house and looted jewellery and Rs 70 lakh cash.
The incident took place in Bargadiya Ghat locality in Civil Lines area when Amita (50), wife of Jitendra Singh, a businessman was alone and some persons barged into their house and strangulated her.
They fled away with 1.5 kg gold jewellery and Rs 70 lakh cash, police said.
The incident came to light when Jitendra reached his house and found his wife dead.
The police is probing the matter. No arrests have so far been made in this connection, they said.
