Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who left the Han Solo spin-off movie over creative differences, have said the experience of shooting for the film was wonderful and the duo "wish everyone with the best".

The duo was replaced by director Ron Howard in the film, which feature Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Donald Glover and Thandie Newton.

"The experience of shooting the movie was wonderful. We had the most incredible cast and crew and collaborators. I think in terms of us leaving the project, I think everybody went in with really good intentions and our approach to making the movie was different than theirs. That was a really big gap to bridge, and it proved to be too big," Lord said, according to Vulture.

The duo also said that sometimes people break-up and it is "sad and disappointing."

"But it happens and we learned a lot from our collaborators and were better filmmakers for it," Lord said.

"Were really proud of the work we did on the movie and we wish everybody the best," he added.
