Forest department personnel have seized wooden door and window frames from two buildings without having proper documents at Cheorapara area of Raninagar here.
Baikunthapur forest division ranger Sanjoy Dutta said the wooden frames worth Rs 1 lakh were seized during a raid as they did not have proper documents.
It is mandatory for building owners to have transit pass from authorised dealers for the wood they use in their buildings, he said.
A 30-day notice has been issued to the building owners to get the proper documents from the concerned authorities, failing which legal steps would be initiated against them, he said.
