Veteran director Woody Allen's latest film "Cafe Society", starring Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg in lead roles, will open the 69th Cannes film festival on May 11.
It will be a hattrick for Allen as he has already opened the festival twice -- in 2002 with "Hollywood Ending" and in 2011 with "Midnight in Paris".
The film, whose release in France coincides with the screening, is an official selection but out of competition title.
