The roads to be 4-laned are 56-km-long Ropar-Chamkaur Sahib-Neelon-Doraha (along Sirhind Canal), 30-km-long Morinda-Kurali-Siswan-Baddi, 30-km-long Kot Kapura-Sri Muktsar Sahib and 36-km-long Batala-Mehta-Beas.
These projects will be completed soon providing relief to commuters from traffic snarls, the minister said.
The work on upgradation of roads in Amritsar will be completed by June this year, he said.
These included 17-km-long Wagha to Amritsar-Chabal road and the estimated cost of upgradation is Rs 8.94 crore, he said.
