Work related to replacing old tarpaulin and ropes at the makeshift Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya is yet to begin as authorities have not received the Supreme Court order on the same.

The Supreme Court had earlier this month given permission for carrying out work relating to replacing old tarpaulin and ropes with new ones at the makeshift temple at the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid site.

Faizabad divisional commissioner Vipin Kumar Dwivedi, who is the receiver of the disputed site, had sought permission from the Court to change the tarpaulin and ropes of the makeshift temple, while expressing the possibility that the temple may collapse if it was not done soon.

Dwivedi told PTI that he was yet to receive the copy of the SC order.

"As soon we receive the certified copy of the judgement, work will be started," he said.
