Work on Sarthal Devi tourism centre taken up: Jora

Work on the proposed tourist reception centre at Sarthal Devi in Kishtwar district has been taken up at a cost of Rs 1.78 crore, the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly was informed today.

Centre has sanctioned a sum of Rs 1.78 crore for the project out of which Rs 35.78 lakh have been released as first instalment, Urban Development and Local Bodies Minister Nawang Rigzin Jora today said.

He said the delay in the project was due to land dispute, which has been resolved.

The minister further informed that tendering passes of the project have been completed and an amount of Rs 10 lakh has been spent.
 

Jora said the work on Mubarak Mandi-Bahu Fort cable car Project will be taken up soon after completion of formalities.
