As BJP prepares for the assembly polls here, its election in-charge for Delhi Nitin Gadkari today asked the party workers to work "unitedly" to ensure the defeat of Congress in the polls slated for November.
At a meeting with councillors of three municipal corporations, Gadkari asked them put all the hard work to strengthen the party at the grass root level.
BJP sources said Gadkari emphasised on the need for fighting the electoral battle unitedly and indicated that indiscipline will not be tolerated.

Ahead of the assembly elections in 2008, BJP had taken a decision to give tickets for assembly seats to councillors.
Gadkari's call for fighting the election unitedly came amid indications by a number of senior Delhi BJP leaders that they were not happy with the style of functioning of Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel.
Sources in the party said senior leaders like V K Malhotra, Harsh Vardhan and Vijendra Gupta have already conveyed their unhappiness over Goel's functioning to central leadership of the party.
They said, in his address, Gadkari asked councillors to expand party's support base from the booth level.
The meeting was attended by Goel also.
