Worker electrocuted at Ghaziabad shop

An 18-year-old employee of a sweetmeat shop near Chaudhary Modh here allegedly died due to electrocution, police said.

According to police, the deceased, identified as one Bunty, was electrocuted last night.

SHO Dheerendra Yadav said that the deceased was a native of Tundla of Firozabad and had been employed for quite some time at the shop which is part of a renowned chain.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and inquiries are on into the matter, police said.

Meanwhile, the body of a youth aged around 23 years was recovered from the railways tracks near the Mohan Nagar overbridge here. Police said they are trying to establish the identity of the deceased.
 

It is not certain whether the death was an accident or if the youth had committed suicide, said Link Road SHO, Rashid Ali.
