The workers of Lakhani Vardan Group called the strike and walked to the house of the minister, demanding regular payment of salaries and other facilities.

"We haven't received salaries since last four months and overtime since last six months, making it difficult for us to take care of our families," local trade union leader Sunil said.

Apart from this, we are also not getting Employees' State Insurance, Provident Fund and other facilities such as canteen and other allowances, he claimed.

The labour minister assured the striking workers that he would meet the Lakhani management on Monday.
