Textiles major Raymond today said workers at its Chhindwara plant in Madhya Pradesh have gone on strike.

"The workmen of the company's Chhindwara textile plant have gone on strike due to unreasonable and unlawful bonus demands. The said strike has been declared illegal by the concerned Labour Authorities," Raymond said in a BSE filing.

The Management is in dialogue with the workers and is trying to resolve the situation, it added.

Raymond's other unit at Vapi and Jalgaon are continuing their normal operations, it said.

"... The Company does not expect the said strike at the Chhindwara Textile Unit to impact the availability of the finished products in the market place," the company said.
