A workshop on human trafficking has been organised here by the District police to make people aware about the menace.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (nodal officer of the programme) Vipin Tada said such workshops have been organised in 30 districts of Uttar Pradesh including Aligarh, Mathura, Noida and Jhansi among others.
Relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice Act and Protection of Child from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) were discussed at length during the workshop organised yesterday.
Tada said that people can make a call to 'Child Helpline-1098' and inform if they find any child loitering on the streets.
The workshop was organised by the District police in collaboration with NGO, Shakti Vahini.
