World Bank to provide $160 mln loan to Rajasthan for road proj

The World Bank will provide a loan assistance of USD 160 million (around Rs 996 crore) for a road modernisation project in the state of Rajasthan.

"An agreement for credit of USD 160 million from World Bank for the Rajasthan Road Sector Modernisation Project was signed today," an official release said today.

The objective of the project is to improve rural connectivity, enhance road safety and strengthen road sector management capacity of the state of Rajasthan, the release said.

The closing date of the project is December 2018, it added.
