Writer-director Andrew Dominik's fictional biopic on screen diva Marilyn Monroe has been optioned by Worldwide entertainment.
Dominik is best known for his work in movies likes 'The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford' and Brad Pitt starrer 'Killing Them Softly', the Deadline reported.
Monroe has been a fascinating and beguiling figure for Hollywood filmmakers with numerous projects on, the last one being director Simon Curtis' 'My Week With Marilyn starring Michelle Williams as the blonde diva.
Dominik's film is also titled 'Blonde'. It is based on a 700-page imagined memoir written by Joyce Carol Oates, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award in 2001.
