Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today said it would support Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan if he was planning to reconsider his decision to reject the report of the commission which probed Adarsh Society scam.
"If Chavan wants to amend his decision on rejecting the commission's report, we are ready to support him. We have no objection," NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik told reporters here.
Saying that NCP ministers Sunil Tatkare and Rajesh Tope played no role in deciding anything concerning the controversial high-rise, Malik said, "The commission report only said that they (Tatkare and Tope) held two meetings though they were not authorised to. Otherwise, they played no role."

Taking a swipe at Shiv Sena and BJP who have targeted the state government over the issue, Malik said the two parties should first act against the officials of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
"The officials from the BMC gave approval to the plan of the Adarsh Society. The Shiv Sena-BJP corporators should immediately press for taking action against them," he said.
Malik also alleged that BJP leader Ajay Sancheti owned several flats in the building.
"We want to know how many others leaders from Delhi have flats in the building. Sacheti is a close aide of former BJP chief Nitin Gadkari," he said.
