Norwegian DJ and record producer Kyrre Gorvell-Dahll, known by stage name Kygo, says he would love to collaborate with an Indian artiste soon.

Kygo has collaborated with several top artistes, including Selena Gomez for the smash hit 'It ain't me' and says it would "definitely be cool" teaming up with an Indian counterpart.

In an interview with PTI, the musician says, "I am not very familiar with Indian artistes but I should really check them out. When I look for people to work with, I look for unique voices.

"I can hear on the radio, there are lots of talented singers and vocalists out here. It will be definitely cool and interesting to mix the two worlds - my music with some Indian artistes."

Kygo, who has churned out hit singles, calls collaborating with other artistes a learning experience.

"Sometimes you know what to do and you have a track... so it can be super quick... But there are sessions where you sit down, talk and figure out what we all want to do. So it's more challenging but fun.

"It's a learning process for me to go to the studio with different people, try to adapt and also kind of get my sound across. There has to be a balance," he says.

Kygo was on a three-city tour of India, performing at Ola Sunburn Arena by Percept Live. Its first leg took off in Hyderabad on November 24, followed by Delhi the next day.

He performed here last evening.

The 26-year-old DJ gained international attention with his remix of Ed Sheeran's track "I see fire". He then went in to establish his name with his biggest hit single, "Firestone".

Though he has been performing for some time now, Kygo says he is always a little jittery before a big gig.

"I do get a little nervous. The nervousness never goes away but three years ago I used to be super nervous before every show. It wasn't fun being that much nervous. But now I am more relaxed," says Kygo.
