WR's Mumbai Div stops issuing wait-listed AC tickets

With a view to facilitate genuine passengers, Mumbai Division of Western Railway has stopped issuing wait-listed tickets for all air condition classes till the system normalises.

The move comes in wake of an unprecedented rush for getting unconfirmed wait-listed ticket to dispose Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes.

"With a view to facilitate genuine passengers, WR's Mumbai Division has stopped issue of wait-listed tickets for AC-I, AC-II & AC-III classes, for journey commencing after 12/11/2016 till the system normalises. Passengers are requested to please cooperate," Western Railway said in a series of tweets.

"However, there is no restriction on booking wait-listed tickets in AC classes for 10th,11th, & 12th Nov, 2016 and passengers may pls note it(sic)," it said in another tweet.
