Rapper XXXTentacion had signed a USD 10 million deal for his third album before his death.
XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Onfroy, had inked the lucrative deal with music company Empire, The New York Times reported.
This album would have been the rapper's third official release, following "17" in 2017 and "?" in 2018. He also released numerous singles and mixes on the side.
According to the Times, Empire founder Ghazi Shami confirmed that the rapper had finished "a significant amount of material" for the album before his death.
XXXTentacion, 20, was killed on June 18 in a shooting in South Florida.
The rapper had a controversial life, first being expelled from school on charges of physical violence and then being arrested in 2016 for false imprisonment and battery of his pregnant ex-girlfriend.
The rapper was bid adieu in an open-casket viewing took place in Florida on June 27, which was attended by thousands of fans.
Following his death, his music has seen a surge in popularity, with both of his albums topping streaming charts and the posthumous release of a single, "Sad!", that bagged the first spot on several music charts.
