Anti-Corruption Branch's (ACB) additional commissioner S S Yadav has sought time to submit his report to Delhi government over filing of charge sheet by the anti-graft body in the alleged Rs 100-crore CNG fitness scam.

Earlier this month, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had questioned the LG's reported move to "sanction" filing of the charge sheet in connection with a multi-crore scam.

Besides, Sisodia, who is also Vigilance Minister, had also issued a note to senior officers of ACB M K Meena and S S Yadav to submit a detailed report on the issue by September 7.

"Yadav has sought some more time to file his report over the issue. Once report is submitted, government will proceed accordingly," sources said.

In his note to vigilance department, Sisodia had said that he was surprised that within a few days of setting up of Commission of Inquiry, ACB has decided to close the investigation by filing charge sheet.

Last month, the AAP government had formed Commission of Inquiry, headed by retired justice S N Agarwal, to probe the alleged Rs 100 crore scam.
