Yadav to give financial aid to cyclist campaigner

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to Heera Lal, man behind the 'Samvedana Jagriti Abhiyaan' campaign.

The campaign aims at spreading awareness regarding brotherhood, girl safety and environment protection.

Appreciating 'Samvedana Jagriti Abhiyaan', Akhilesh said that those working for betterment of the society must be honoured.

"Heera Lal is struggling for the issues, on which the state government is already working seriously," Akhilesh said.

A resident of Gorakhpur, 58-year-old Heera Lal today met Yadav at his residence and appreciated construction of separate cycle track in big cities adding that it should be extended to other cities.
 

Heera Lal has launched the campaign from Kashmir to Kanyakumari on cycle.
