Yamaha Motor India today reported 35.81 per cent increase in domestic two-wheeler sales at 50,286 units in July from 37,026 units in the same month of the previous year.
Commenting on the performance, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd Vice President (Sales & Marketing) Roy Kurian said: "This month we witnessed brisk growth due to our robust product line-up and new launches during the year."
FZ Version 2.0 and FZ-S Version 2.0 launched last month have been key in boosting our sales, however, Alpha, launched at the Auto Expo, continues to be the key contributor for us, he said.
"The scooter segment has really taken off and is expected to be the growth driver for the two-wheeler industry," Kurian added.
