Senior IAS officer Yashpal Singh today took over as the new the Chief Secretary of Tripura.
An Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Manipur-Tripura cadre of the 1984 batch, Singh succeeded G Kameswara Rao, who retired from service on March 31.
Singh had served in the state and outside in various capacities and would look after home, general administration and forests departments.
The state government today made a notification in this regard.
