JKLF chief Mohammad Yasin Malik and several of his party colleagues were today detained when they were preparing to hold a protest rally in the city against the Army's decision to close the Pathribal case.
Malik and his 12 colleagues were taken into preventive custody near Maisuma while they were trying to march towards Lal Chowk, official sources said.
The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) had announced its plan to hold the protest rally today against the Army's decision of giving clean chit to its personnel involved in the "killing of innocent civilians in Pathribal".

"Kashmiris will not and cannot keep silent on the issue of Pathribal and our protest to bring the killers to justice will continue," he said, and also raised the issue of Lolab killings.
