Malik and his colleagues were taken into preventive custody by police at Bijbejara, 45 kms from here, when they were heading for the highway town of Qazigund to address a public meeting, the officials said.
They said Malik and his colleagues were detained as local authorities were apprehensive of the law and order problem.
