YC, NSUI call general strike in Tripura on July 13

Terming the result as "unprecedented", YC state unit president Sushanta Chowdhury and NSUI state unit president Vikki Prasad today said talented students in the state were facing a bleak future due to the manipulation in the answer scripts of the students who appeared the examinations conducted by TBJEE.

"We vehemently condemn the role of Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination as well as Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, who is in-charge of the High Education department", they said.

The Agartala bench of Gawhati High Court had yesterday seized all the answer sheets following complaints of discrepancies in the result sheets.

High Court Judge Subhasish Talapatra yesterday ordered the Deputy Registrar of the court and police to seize all answer sheets following which the action was taken.

 

The two organisations also demanded judicial probe into the result scam and immediate arrest of the Chairman of the Board, Rakhal Debnath.
