Vice Chancellor of city-based Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) Manikrao Salunkhe has tendered his resignation to Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao.
Rao has accepted Salunkhe's resignation, a release by YCMOU stated.
However, Salunkhe will remain on the post till August 18 and then his charge will be handed over to Dilip Mhaisekar, Vice Chancellor of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, it added.
