YEIDA approves 7% developed land to 4,500 farmers

The authority had acquired 1,600 hectare of land for the Expressway.

"Today board approved seven per cent developed land proposal. Beside this 17.5 per cent reservation for ancestral farmers is also approved by the board in commercial shops and kiosks schemes," YEIDA, Additional Chief Executive Officer, P C Gupta said.

A Shaheed Park will come up at Jikarpur for which the board has given its approval, he said.

"Those farmers from whom YEIDA is purchasing land directly will get annual relief amount under rehabilitation policy in one lump sum instalment," Gupta said.

"For security of passengers on Yamuna Expressway, two Innovas will be purchased and given to police for patrolling. Maintenance and operation expenses will be borne by police," he added.

 

"The board also approved the amended master plan 2031. As per state government directions, the area previously earmarked for airport project has been allotted for industrial and other development. Now it will be sent to state government for approval. NCRPB has already given approval for the master plan," he said.
