Yes Bank shares down over 4% after MSCI exclusion

Shares of Yes Bank today fell by over 4 per cent after MSCI excluded the stock from its standard and mid-cap indices.

Yes Bank' scrip tanked 4.12 per cent to settle at Rs 576.50 on the BSE. During the day, it lost 4.4 per cent to Rs 574.80.

At the NSE, the stock was down 3.97 per cent to end at Rs 576.40.

In terms of volume, 4.61 lakh shares of the company changed hands at the BSE, while more than 41 lakh shares were traded at the NSE during the day.

The Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) will exclude Yes Bank from its standard and mid-cap indexes, a part of the MSCI Global Standard Indexes.
 

The change will be effective from 18 September, 2014.
