Young girl trafficked, forced into flesh trade

Three persons, including a couple, have been charged with offences for allegedly selling a young girl and pushing her into flesh trade, police said today.

According to Women Police Station's in-charge, Jyoti Sharma, a case was registered against the trio, identified as Roshni, Jitendra Sharma and his wife Rani under IPC section 376 (rape), section 370 (buying or disposing of any person as a slave) and other relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.

The 20-year-old victim belonged to Shahdol district and was known to Roshni, who brought her to Indore under the pretext of giving a job to her but allegedly sold her to Jitendra and Rani for Rs 1.5 lakh, Sharma said, adding, the couple later forced her into flesh trade.
 

The victim, with the help of a friend managed to escape from the clutches of the couple yesterday, and filed a complaint with the police.

All three persons are absconding and search was on to trace them, police added.
