The incident was reported from Ashoka Estate building on Barakhamba Road at around 9:40 am and the deceased has been identified as Gaurav Patil, a resident of Maharashtra's Nasik.

In his purported suicide note, he said his organs should be donated. "I have gone through truths of life, now I am going for a journey in search of the real truth. I thank those who helped me know the facts of life," the note read.

He was posted as a consultant with a health information and consultation company for the past four months and was staying with his friend in Patel Nagar.

The friend told police that he was inclined to philosophy and had been reading philosophical books in the recent times.

Patil did his MBBS course in 2010 from Mumbai and completed MBA this year.
