A 25-year-old woman has been found murdered at her rented house in Govindpuri area in south Delhi, police said today.
The victim, identified as Rekha Bhardwaj was last evening found lying in a pool of blood in her bedroom while the entire room was ransacked, they said.
However, no valuable was found missing from the house, a senior police officer said.
"Neighbours told us that they heard voices of serious argument between the woman and someone else from her flat, a few hours before she was found dead yesterday evening," the officer said.
She lived with her husband Pradeep Kumar, who works as a consultant in a private company in Faridabad, who lodged a complaint with the police in the matter.
"Kumar is her second husband and the initial investigation developments are pointed the needle of suspicion to the woman's former husband," the officer claimed, adding they are trying to reach to him.
The police have also questioned several other persons including her relatives.
