According to the police, Sarita was alone with her younger brother in their house. She was found dead with her throat slit open.
Her mother and sister-in-law had gone out at 4:30 pm, police said adding that they returned an hour later to find Sarita dead.
"Her younger brother has sustained injuries and was admitted to Lal Bahadur Shashtri hospital," police said.
"Prima facie, it appears to be a case of robbery. The door was open and there were no signs of forceful entry either," police said.
Sarita had got married a year ago, police said.
Police have registered a case of robbery against unknown persons.
