A 22-year-old youth was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a minor girl from Nagla Bhikari village under kotwali Awagarh, police said today.
Rakesh of Lalai village was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a 15-year-old girl on December 2, they said.
Police said they received a tip-off yesterday suggesting that the accused was with the girl near Arav village.
Awagarh Kotwali station officer Sher Singh said they managed to nab the accused based on the information.
He said police also rescued the girl after the accused revealed to them the her whereabouts.
Police said they have registered an FIR after a complaint in this regard was filed by the girl's father.
Two other relatives of Rakesh have been made accused in this case, police said adding they will send the girl for medical test.
