Kallu (30), of Magrawan in Uttar Pradesh and currently residing in Phagwara-Hoshiarpur road area, allegedly raped the five-year-old girl, who is a relative, SP HPS Khakh said.
In her complaint, the girl's mother has claimed that he approached her daughter when she had gone to the market yesterday, tempted the minor with food and raped her.
The girl has been sent for medical examination, Khakh added.
