A head constable of the Ghaziabad traffic police was allegedly assaulted by a youth when he asked the latter to remove his parked car which was causing traffic snarl on Hapur Road in Kavinagar area here this morning.

The incident took place around 10 AM when head constable Sanjay was controlling traffic on Hapur Road near the district collectorate.

"When Sanjay was on duty, he noticed a parked car on the road causing hindrance to traffic movement. Sanjay then asked the car occupant, identified as Rambir, to remove it from the road. Rambir reportedly got angry and started assaulting him," said a police officer.
