Youth booked for allegedly threatening to kill girl

The police has booked one Mayuresh Madhukar Mahadik from suburban Mulund who allegedly threatened a 22-year-old girl who worked in an office here and resided at Dada Patilwadi, a police official said here today.

Thane Nagar police station inspector Dilip Boraste told PTI that according to the complainant, the youth had followed her when she went to the office since May 10, 2015, as well as threatened her to break off her engagement with her fiance.

Allegedly, Mayuresh had warned her against marrying her fiance, her complaint stated.

The police official said that according to the girl's complaint, the youth had also called her up on her cellular phone and threatened her that he would kill her if she did not obey him.
 

The youth has been booked under Section 354(a)(1), Section 354(d), Section 506 and Section 504 of the Indian Penal Code, the police official said.
