The action was taken on the girl's complaint.
According to the victim, she lived with her maternal uncle at nearby village Rehana Jattan. One Kuljinder Singh alias Noni, a resident of the same village, befriended her brother and started visiting their house.
Noni raped the girl on the pretext of marrying her but later dumped her, she said, adding that the youth also took her to the house of his friend Sukhbir Singh alias Sodhi at Darawan village and raped her there.
Phagwara SP Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh confirmed that a case of rape and criminal conspiracy has been registered against Noni and Sodhi.
While Sodhi was arrested, Noni was still at large, he said.
