A 22-year-old youth was allegedly beaten up by the family of a girl he was in love with in Loni area here, leaving him severely injured, police said today.
Nirjan's father Jiternder Chourasia complained to police that the family of the girl, who was a teacher in a private school, had beaten him up on Monday as they disapproved of him, police said.
The victim, who runs a clinic in Loni area, was rushed to a nearby hospital, from where he was taken to GTB hospital and admitted to the ICU, they said, adding that his condition is critical.
The case is being probed, they said.
