A youth allegedly hanged himself from a tree over a family dispute in Shamli district, police said today.
The body of Zeeshan (22) was found hanging in a mango garden at Kachchigari village last evening, they said, adding that the deceased appears to have taken the extreme step due to a family dispute.
In a separate case, Imrana (26) allegedly attempted suicide by setting herself ablaze in her house at Shamli, police said.
She was rushed to hospital in a serious condition, they said, adding that the cause behind the attempt has not been ascertained yet.
