Youth Congress today held a demonstration against the state government at civil lines railway crossing demanding power supply to farmers during day hours and giving them pending compensation for crop loss.
The members led by the state president of youth congress and MLA, Ashok Chandna, and other Congress leaders held the demonstration and tried to move towards civil lines.
They were prevented by police with the help of water cannons and dispersed them.

Former MP Mahesh Joshi, former mayor Jyoti Khandelwal and other leaders took part in the demonstration.

In Bikaner, the youth congress members burnt an effigy of chief minister Vasundhara Raje during the demonstration.
The members handed over a representation to the district collector which was addressed to the Chief Minister.
The protesters demanded power supply to farmers in day hours compensation to them for crop loss.
