The Youth wing of Mumbai Congress today opposed Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray's idea of keeping the eateries and medical centres in the city open 24X7, in a bid to facilitate people working late night.
"We do not oppose restaurants and eateries. We are opposing bars which will be kept open. It will also create a law and order problem. There is no logic to it," Mumbai city President of Youth Congress, Ganesh Yadav, said.
A delegation of Mumbai Youth Congress would meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithvraj Chavan in a couple of days seeking not to give its final nod to the proposal passed by the BMC's standing committee.

Yadav criticised the Shiv Sena-BJP for passing the proposal on keeping the eateries open 24X7 in haste in the standing committee yesterday saying that the panel was meant to discuss the issue of dilapidated buildings in the city and the BMC building collapse near Mazgaon dock last week that claimed 61 lives.
"The proposal was passed in the standing committee only to appease Yuva Sena president Aditya Thackeray," he alleged.
