Youth Congress activists collected 500 units of blood at a donation camp held here today on the occasion of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi's 27th death anniversary.
The blood donation camp was held at the Youth Congress' office at Raisina Road. The camp was inaugurated by the newly elected president of the Youth Congress, Keshav Chand Yadav, and Krishna Allavaru the All India Congress Committee in-charge of the party's youth wing.
On the occasion, Yadav and Srinivas BV assumed the charge of president and vice president of the party's youth wing, respectively.
Yadav called upon the Youth Congress workers to be more vocal and raise concerns of people on various political and social platforms.
A large number of workers had assembled for blood donation and 500 units were collected at the camp, Youth Congress spokesperson Amrish Ranjan Pandey said.
