A group of Indian Youth Congress activists led by Shalinder Singh Shally, who was the party candidate from Majihta in last assembly elections, blocked Amarinder's cavalcade at Gopalpura village, when he was on way to attend a protest against the SAD-BJP coalition government in the state.
Shally claimed that despite being the party In-charge for Majihta, he was not informed about the party programme in the assembly segment.
He said the protest was organised by Sukhjinder Raj Singh Lally Majithia, who contested the last assembly poll as an independent candidate from the same seat. After the assembly election, Sukhjinder joined Congress.
On being asked about protest by youth Congress activists, Amarinder told reporters that it was a minor issue which has been sorted out.
