The Congress' youth wing will take out a cycle yatra against the "increasing unemployment" under the Manohar Lal Khattar regime in Haryana, an official said today.

"Members of youth Congress will take out a cycle yatra in Haryana in September against the state government functioning especially increasing unemployment," Indian Youth Congress (IYC) chief Keshav Chand Yadav said.

"This yatra will also enlighten people about the anti-people policies of the Khattar government," Yadav added.

People will also be educated about policies and programmes of the Congress, he said.

Yadav, who was appointed the national president of the IYC last month, accused the BJP governments, both at the Centre and state, of having failed on all fronts and going back on poll promises.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi made hollow promises of generating two crore jobs every year in the country."

"The Khattar government had promised to pay Rs 9,000 per month as unemployment allowance to the youth, but till date no action has been taken on this issue," Yadav said.

"Khattar government also reduced employment avenues for youth," alleged Yadav.

He further alleged that people were fed up with the policies of the BJP government.

The "misrule" of the government at the Centre led to unemployment, communalism and inflation in the country, he said.
