A youth was found dead at his girl friend's residence at Fattupur village here today, police said.
Friends of Harpreet Singh (20), a resident of village Lukmania, informed his parents that he had been assaulted at his girl friend's residence, they said.
The parents along with relatives rushed to Fattupur and spotted Harpreet lying in an unconscious state with injuries in the neck, police said, adding he died soon after.
On the complaint made by the family, police registered a case against the accused.
Meanwhile, an uncle of Harpreet, alleged that his nephew had been killed by the parents of the girl.
