A 24-year-old youth, sitting near the door, fell from a running train here today and was crushed to death.
Raj Kumar, aged 24, was travelling in Mumbai-bound Amritsar-Bandra Paschim Express when he had a fatal fall near village Sapror, 6-kn from here, the Government Railway Police said.
Kumar, a resident of Jodhewal Basti in Ludhiana, had gone to Amritsar to pay obeisance at the Golden Temple, it said.
He was sitting near the door when he fell from the train, the Government Raiway Police said.
"Kumar has either dozed off or felt giddy or fell from the train accidentally," a Railway Police official said.
