The body of the man, identified as Ankit Sharma and a resident of Ballabhgarh in Haryana, was found lying on the ground of the building on early Friday morning where he was staying with his two friends for last 20 days, a senior police official said.
According to police, the deceased died after accidentally falling from the fifth floor of the building but this family members allege that he was killed for money which he got from sale of a piece of land.
Preliminary autopsy report of Sharma confirmed traces of alcohol in his body, police said.
Alleging foul play, Sharma's family members held a protest outside the Vasant Vihar police station and demanded action against his friends at whose flat he was temporarily staying in Delhi.
On the fateful night around 10.30 PM, police said, Sharma left the Katwaria Sarai flat and went to meet his friend Sunil in Badarpur. They consumed liquor and went to G B Road together.
"At around 3.30 AM, they again reached Badarpur from where Sunil left for his village in Ballabhgarh while Sharma returned to his friends's flat.
"Since his two friends Kapil and Rocky were sleeping in the flat, Sharma went on the terrace from where he accidentally fell down. We found his slippers and a bottle of beer on the terrace," he said.
