The body of Abu Farid, resident of Jamia Nagar, was found in Okhla at around noon.
Police said prima facie it appeared to be a case of personal enmity. They also said the body has more than 10 stab wounds.
Farid, who allegedly had a criminal background, was released from Tihar jail just ten days ago and he was identified with the help of an identity card found in his pocket.
