Youth future of J&K, have to play role in state's development: Prez

President Ram Nath Kovind today said the youths of Jammu and Kashmir are the future of the state and it is their responsibility to play a role in its development.

He was interacting with a group of youths from the Gurez Valley of the state at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Kovind said successive Indian governments have been working for the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

He asked the youth, participating in the Operation Sadbhavana, to learn from the discipline of the Army. He also congratulated the Army on the Sadbhavana initiative.

The Sadbhavana tour is being organised by the 109 Infantry Brigade of the Army to reignite the minds of youth towards national integration.
 

As part of the tour, the youth are visiting Srinagar, Delhi, Lansdowne, Rishikesh and Dehradun.
